Is our growing government reflecting our collective values
The question being asked is whether or not The Government Is Too Big. In the constitutional provision of "Promoting The General Welfare", would an 'Office Of Astronomy' be valuable? The size of our government today is a product of the increased size of our collective knowledge in the various studies we have today, from medicine, to the understanding of the behavior of the multiplicity of creatures that inhabit the Earth and so many other "Scientific" scholastic Disciplines', the question becomes whether any of these is of value and given that they are, a reduction in any of their sizes becomes a question of their internal efficiencies and nothing more. What will determine how we answer that question as individuals will be based on two very different ways we see the world today.
